Ethereal

Ethereal

To be of another world,
both of gentle touch, gentle breath.
We leave you as you left us,
with fondest of memories.
Gaze upon weary bodies
as they break and fall;
still your strong back gave
the strongest supports,
you hold as though truss.
Can you hear whilst they weep?
We hold you high and remember
as you held us high as to protect.
Your snow falls to the ground,
undisturbed.
Our rains fall; we miss you.
Fondness remains.
Sleep for we are indebted to you.

Frosted Windows

Frosted Windows

Out of the frosted window he peered, fearing the pervading darkness that encapsulated his location. To stare was a magical thing, absorbing the sights, the motions; but what happens after the black curtain falls? It's difficult to tell, as the soft velvet brings opaque to the transparent, dulls the clarity. His windows felt like the cold, cylindrical bars of a prison, his night the bricks that surround. So with a heavy sigh he continued to look for the sun, the moon, the stars. Yet difficulty arose when he was not permitted to look in the direction that was necessary.

"Where is the light?" Stop. "Where is the light?" Stop. "Light has diminished".

His utterance faded, its waves muffled in a black fabric draped over his eyes. 'What makes a man walk away from his mind?' (Green, D., 2008, What makes a Man?).

The song struck a chord and so he decided he knew what would force a man's feet to wander from the path those around him enjoyed. Divulgence, however, was not something he wished to labour his love with. "Drink up." He drew his curtains.

To Hold Back

Bear your arms!
Left are your rights
when you signed away your soul,
promised with word to serve,
with body and heart.
Mind overruled! Objection!
Anger pours out, break mould.
Muscles burn as they restrain.
Bitten Tongue.
You owe this much.

Flow to Fall

Flow to Fall

The rush grows,
sweet serenades and
peaceful rain falls
to windows.

With pane shattered,
disturbances grow.
Speed of mind, speed of light.
Stare through windows.

Paths split, emergence.
Defy natural growth.
Shatter your symphonies,
we fall hard to the flow.

Four and Seven

Four and Seven

Light breaks upon tender face.
Skin soft, morning beams.
To collide with fire, deep burn.
Let notes ring out, music return.

Sweet melodies, with flutter,
Carried on winds so familiar.
Drift from smiles, eyes bright.
Hold on, cradles of light.

Bridge to chorus, let sing.
Lingered touch, white future.
Four and seven long years;
remain, leave history with fears.

Falling into, and out of, heavy storms

Falling into, and out of, heavy storms

They stem from the windows.
The dew rolls down panes.
The curve of the sill.
Do not cling like the rain.

You cannot look into the eyes forever.
Roots perish, do not fear.
Falling through storms,
this too shall pass.

Resounding

Resounding

So I become sound
and sound becomes I.
the waves crash around me
as their power and drive
consume my core.

To soothe and comfort
its consumption is eternal.
Drenched in its blessing,
surrounded in wonder.
Peace at the forefront.

Music carries me from port
to port, with each note
bringing to quell
the angry heart that resides.

Save my soul in the oscillation.

Reincarnate

Reincarnate

And to reside so sweetly,
to rest, to breathe, to sleep.
Breathe in my soul, absorb the sounds.
The chord has been struck.

And so resonance, respondance.
To count the stars, one by one.
Breathe in the sounds, develop.
Polaroid memories, stuck.

Twice we occur.

Competitors

Competitors

Keep running your race;
but does it belong to you?
Define your finish, but
do you maintain your lead?

Do we run for the one
or do we run for the many?
These are questions picked
from the meta.

And as we race,
as you race,
I will finish.
Do not cheer for me.

Straight Edge

Straight Edge

Sweet flesh to take puncture,
trenches parallel.
Crimson  infantry push forward
to fight a losing war.

Follow the tracks that run,
run with the tracks that follow.
Forgive it. Let dust grow
whilst you run, back turned.

A Fall in Dualism

A Fall in Dualism

Critical fracture.
Fissured.

Canyon from the physical.
River, soul, at the base.
Headwater yield; cessation.

Burdened neck with branch and
twisted plies.

Entwine with the physical.
Fissured.

Aftermath

Aftermath

A deep silence peravedes,
bleeds through: dispersed.
Exponential qualm,
followed by calm.
Virtue in virulence.
Fight. Succumb.
A deep silence pervades.

Allow a wake with push;
remember to forget.
Existential riot.
Inert, action pious.
False is honour.
Succumb. Plight.
Wake! Carry me to numb!

Binding

Binding

Let the ink bind my bones,
my blood turn black crimson.
And I ask 'Are you sorry?'
For I am become quarry.

To sleep in the arms of Angels
as they rifle, deep bore.
Do you not see all of me?
Follow sights, don't set free.

Both chas'd and chastised,
feel the fracture, harmony.
Deep chasm. Dissonance
brought by night, break existence.
